I have a sample of an iPad magazine that seems to have a row of images placed side by side, using your finger you 'slide' between images and it 'snaps' to the edge of each image. When I've tried this using scrollable frames it free rolls through them all and doesn't stop. Am I missing something or have this been created with Edge or other program?
Solution
Take a look at PhotoSwipe. It is easy to use and has the desired snap effect. http://www.photoswipe.com
Building a slideshow is easy if you understand how to use the Object States panel in InDesign, but there are plenty of details and nuances that aren't immediately evident.
Solution
The Object States panel provides subtle feedback about what it can do for you. Understanding what this panel offers will make your DPS slideshows easier to produce and control.
Creating the image sequence for an audio file player from the Ai art can be a tedious task. And when you need to make a small adjustment it's twice as tedious.
Solution
A simple script that helps you output the play and pause sequences of PNGs from the Ai design in seconds.
If you try to put an image in front of a video to create an effect such as rounded corners, the image will move behind it when the article is generated. By design, interactive overlays appear in front of non-interactive page items.
Solution
If you want to cover part of an overlay, such as masking a video with rounded corners, the trick is to make the masked object interactive -- even if it's a "dummy" interactive object.
Creating InDesign files from scrap for digital (tablet) publications isn't too difficult. But you need to design within certain borders and boundaries, and 'soft proof' your creation constantly.
Scrollable Frames are getting more and more powerful and useful: they are great for scrolling text or images when there is not enough space on screen. Scrollable Frames can also include other interactive content. However, there are techniques to improve the visual appearance of scrolling content.
Solution
You can tweak the appearance of Scrollable Frames with some advanced techniques. For this, you need to have basic knowledge of creating interactivity with DPS.

When submitting a digital magazine to either Apple’s App Store or Google’s Android Market, you need to supply App Icons and more artwork. Typically these icons include the homescreen icon and one icon for the market place. You provide these icons to the Viewer Builder.
A valid App Store app or Android Market app needs a few more icons that will be used in different places (like search results, popup windows, …). Providing these Icons is can be an elaborative task: 512px here, 72px there, applied shine there, no shine here …
Solution
Here is a photoshop file that automaticallye generates all needed icons both for Apple iPad and Android from one artwork.
